PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

In short

TamaTabi Live has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own, shows no ads and does not collect personal data. Neither the website nor the Mac app knows who you are.

Website

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and only reports totals (pages, countries, browsers). Your settings — language, volume, last radio station — and a short log of recent steps used for troubleshooting are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us. The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers process your IP address to deliver the pages; we do not keep server logs of our own.

Suggesting a camera

If you use the “Suggest a camera” form, we store what you typed (the YouTube link, the place and your note) and the page language, privately, to review the camera. We do not store your IP address or ask for your name or email. Your IP address is held briefly in memory only to stop spam.

YouTube API Services

Streams are played with the official YouTube embedded player, and our server uses the YouTube Data API to check which public live streams are on air and how many people are watching. We never access your YouTube or Google account. When a stream plays, your browser connects to YouTube, which may use cookies and collect data under its own policies. By watching you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; see the Google Privacy Policy.

Other services your device connects to

Background radio streams come directly from each broadcaster's server (found through the Radio Browser directory), so that server sees your IP address. Street maps load from OpenFreeMap, fonts from Google Fonts, scripts from public CDNs (jsDelivr, cdnjs) and thumbnails from YouTube. Weather for the scenic highlights is fetched by our server from Open-Meteo; your browser does not contact it.

TamaTabi Live for Mac

The Mac app collects nothing: no analytics, no tracking, no crash reports. It shows tamatabi.world, so the website section above applies to what it loads; it also connects to YouTube, radio stations and map tiles in the same way. To check for updates it downloads tamatabi.world/mac/appcast.xml (Sparkle), without sending any information about your Mac. Its settings stay on your Mac.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
